The rematch of two popular internet sensations turned professional boxers, British Youtuber Olajide “JJ” Olatunji (a.k.a. KSI for his YouTube channel) and American Youtuber, Logan Paul finally took place on 9th November 2019 at Staples Center, Los Angeles, with a split decision resulting in KSI’s victory, with two judges scoring the bout 56–55 and 57–54 in favour of KSI, and a third judge scoring the fight 56–55 in favour of Paul.
The referee of the fight, Jack Reese played a massive role in the outcome of the fight with several questionable calls. Logan Paul came out of the gates strong by playing around his reach advantage, landing several jabs onto KSI. A nice haymaker from KSI dazed Paul and he was knocked down but got up on his feet soon after, which prompted Reese to call it a slip instead. Both fighters were neck and neck until the fourth round, when KSI’s legs gave out after receiving two vicious uppercuts from his opponent. Logan Paul did score himself a knock down but Reese decided to incorrectly deduct two points from him as the second uppercut was a holding and hitting foul to the ref.
Both boxers displayed tremendous sportsmanship after the fight by showing respect to each other and have decided to squash the internet beef between them.
