1st Quarter: No Cliffhanger
Everest dominance in this quarter sent Segamat into chaos – scrambling their defenses to stop Rynn Lee and Ang on the perimeter. But to no avail , Kylie early dominance on the paint provided them just too many second chances.
2nd Quarter: The Storm Strengthen
Kylie’s dominance continued into the 2nd quarter, racking up to 14 points and 10 rebounds. Segamat BA was still having difficulty making a basket. Segamat only has 19 points in the start of the 3rd quarter – it looks like this will be a very hard climb for Segamat.
3rd Quarter: They Are Not Budging
Bucket after buckets, Everest was leading 41 to 19 – the team decided to rest their main rosters and slowing down their offense to drain the clock. Segamat took opportunity and try maximize their run.
Segamat fierce offense cut down the lead to 51 – 36 in the end of 3rd quarter.
4th Quarter: It’s Never Enough
In order to maintain their momentum and lead, Everest rotated their main rosters to continue the onslaught. Segamat took initiative of their tardiness and managed to close the lead to 10 points. But in the midst of the tardiness, two players played ferociously to maintain Everest’s momentum, Kiki and Elaine Chong get the team together and extended once again to a double digit.
Having time going against them, Segamat tried their very best but to get the scoring run going. But Everest have managed shut all their avenues once again and managed to secured the win.
Everest will be meeting against Matrix in the finals.
