NS Matrix vs Everest Group (81-50)
With the absence of 2 key players from Everest Group. Rynn Lee and Ng Jing Xuan – Matrix quickly took advantage of the situation by shooting around the perimeter.
Bobo Yap torched the bucket, 3/5 from down town. Propelling the lead in the second quarter. Everest tried their best in sealing the perimeter – but Rynn Lee’s shoes were proven too much to filled.
Before we knew it, the lead grew too far apart for Everest to overcome. Matrix placed 1st and follow by Everest Group on the second in the group stages.

Penang Stallions vs Miri Kinsar (61-67)
Both teams are hanging by a thread, whoever loses will not be going to the playoffs. Both teams were quite even throughout the first half. With the Stallions started with a bang from their promising young star Chu Shun Heng.
However, Miri Kinsar’s took advantage of the 3rd quarter with their lightning quick Tye Yee Fong scoring 7/16 from the field. Having trailing by 20 points, Penang Stallions had a lot of catching up to do.
On the fourth quarter, with grit and guts – Penang picked themselves up from the huge deficit and put themselves back into the game. With only trailing by 7 Points in the last 35 seconds. Eng Wei Yuan made a perfect free throw shorten the lead to 5.
With not much time left, Stallions resorted into a game of fouls – however, putting Yoon Jing on the charity strike costs them the game dearly. Miri secured the hard fought win and put themselves in the 6th place of the playoffs. While the Stallions has been eliminated.

Cangkat Hartamas vs Red Baron (78-59)
It was a game that favors Cangkat Hartamas from the moment of the tip off. After winning against GoStrong, Cangkat’s morale went through the roof. With Ooi Xian Fu terrific 19 point performance in a mere 20 minutes game time – Red Baron were on their knees in the 3rd quarter.
Red baron was lacking big man to control the key throughout the game, being out rebounded by Cangkat Hartamas’ very own Chin Zi Shin (10 rebounds).
Zi Fueng terrific double – double performance 10 rebounds and 12 points also contributed on the win for Cangkat. With this win, Cangkat is currently ranked 3rd in the group stage.

MKYC Dragons vs Segamat BA (65-61)
MKYC Dragons played an excellent ball game today – capitalizing on steady and careful high percentage shots today. On the Segamat BA camp, they tried to approach the game with a more aggressive gameplay.
However, in the start of the third quarter Segamat BA started to show signs of life by over taking MKYC Dragons – with Tan Pei Jie leading the team on scores, Segamat BA tried to extend the lead but the Dragons engineered a defensive lockdown on the captain.
With Tan Pei Jie completely sealed – MKYC once again took the lead by a small margin. With Tan Sin Yi and Low Hoi Khei on both scoring and rebounding duties, MKYC kept themselves in the game by making smart fouls.
In the few final possessions of the game, MKYC held their ground and secured all of their free throws – nailing them their first W.

NS Matrix Vs GoStrong 67-48
Matrix’s dominance over this league was astounding – keeping GoStrong on their bays. Mei Mei once again put on a show in front of crowd. Securing 4/7 3s in the first half.
But what makes Matrix great was their stellar defense. Not allowing GoStrong to score less than 48 points for the whole game proves that Matrix is not letting this up easy.
GoStrong came a long way in joining this league, forming a team around their former mates from the National Community League – with the new additions of Thea Zhong Shin into their rosters they have made an honorable run placing 4th in losing to one of the best teams in Malaysia.
