The crowned champ of International High School Basketball 2019 is Canada Crossover by winning NS Matrix in this exciting game. MCKK took us by surprise by beating JMM KBC as well.
AFF VS Australia SEQ COUGARS
After defeated by NS MATRIX in the group stage, AFF bounced back and got 3rd placing by decimating the Australia SEQ COUGARS. The Cougars had difficulty in escaping their terrible form – missing a lot of baskets all over the place, and AFF capitalize with quick fast breaks and stellar defense.
The game was already over when AFF further extending the lead by raining 3s all over the place. SEQ tried to catch up but failed to regain their composure and finally succumbed to AFF’s relentless attacks.
We tried interviewing the captain of the team, Yap Jin Cheng but it seems like he is a bit of shy boy, instead we turned to his teammate.
Find out what the AFF’s boys think about their captain.
And we head on to our second highlight of the game, MCKK beating JMM KBC. It was a fantastic performance from the team. They came armed and prepared to go against the Kemuning boys that struggled to perform at their finest and causing them the on the 2nd place Plate finish.
We compiled all the best plays for the MCKK boys together with their head coach, Liew.
Canada Crossover vs NS Matrix
And here we are for the Championship finals, it was not an easy fight for Canada – Matrix were only trailing by 6 to 10 points up until quarter 4 by trading 3s with the Canadian team. In the end, Matrix crumbles due misplays and losing focus on defense.
The Canadians took this opportunity and trailing the lead on the 4th quarter. Martin Zarzuela won the top scorer award and Olu Nwoko won the MVP performance of the championship. Congratulations to Canada and all the participants by making this a great event. We managed to do a quick interview with both of them before going back to the hotel.
